Walpole & Nornalup Inlet

Walpole is a nice hidden gem, where wildflowers are in bloom a bit later than the rest of the region, since it’s wetter and colder. The Frankland River offers beautiful sights and there are some good 4WD tracks alongside. We visited some friends on their farm and also saw lots of flowers and wildlife.

We last went to Elephant Rocks / Elephant Cove 14 years ago and it was nice to see it hasn’t changed much.

The cherry on the cake was definitely the WOW Wilderness Cruise on Nornalup Inlet. Gazza, the guide, was extremely entertaining and knowledgeable (yes, we did check some facts that we didn’t know) and we got to rescue two guys whose dinghy had turned upside down when they tried to get to the ocean (to go fishing) through the inlet.
