Mandurah – Christmas lights December 2023 Ioana, 21 December 202324 September 2024 It has become a bit of a ritual for us to go to Mandurah in December to see the Christmas lights. The locals put a lot of effort in and every year there is something new, something different. The town itself has some interesting murals. One year on, the Giants are still an attraction and there’s lots of wildlife to see on the way to and around them. After reading stories of the past we went to Christ’s Church cemetery to see the tombs of first settlers or people who lost their lives in the innumerable shipwrecks that happened along this coast. We were (pleasantly) surprised to see Archangel Michael portrayed by a beautiful blonde in their nativity scene. Dolphins provide entertainment not only to humans. The water provides a lot of entertainment and beautiful sights in daylight as well. And the trip across the estuary to the Cut, Port Bouvard and then up Murray River reveals something different every time we go. A video mainly of the magical Christmas lights and dolphin delight can be seen here. 2023 Australia Boating Christmas Mandurah Travel Western Australia
