Geraldton 2020 – 2025

Ioana, 28 August 20243 October 2025

Geraldton is not a big city but the coastline and beaches are beautiful, the area is rich in history and it also has beautiful street art.

Geraldton shore line has a beautiful walking / biking trail today. But in the early days of the settlement this is where stock used to be unloaded – in the ocean, from ships moored in the bay, and they would swim to shore. The stock fence was built to prevent the stock from escaping, and there are some remaining posts that can still be seen today.

The buildings around Geraldton Port are a favourite residence for pigeons, who indulge on the grains flying off the trucks that go to the fairly large grain terminal.
