Playing Tourists Around Perth City Ioana, 2 September 202420 July 2026 Sometimes the best adventures are right on your doorstep. In 2007, we spent a day being tourists in our own city, exploring some of Perth’s best-known landmarks and enjoying the sights we often took for granted. We walked along the beautiful Swan River, admired the city’s street art and historic buildings, then headed to Hillarys Boat Harbour for lunch, where we watched the boats. We finished the day in Kings Park, taking in the stunning city lights at night. It is interesting to see how some parts of the city changed a lot along the years, while others stayed pretty much the same. 2004 South Perth 2004 Kings Park 2004 Christmas Carols 2005 Kings Park after the bushfire in 2009 Kings Park 2017 Elizabeth Quay 2017 Perth Mint 2017 Saint Mary’s Cathedral 2017 East Perth 2017 Perth skyline 2020 Dolphins! 2020 2023 – London Court, Leighton Battery, Bille Bob Bille Bob is the wooden giant who decided to relocate to Subiaco after having a fight with the rest of his family in Mandurah. Leighton Battery on Buckland Hill is a good place to see the Gage Roads and also to learn about some of the war history of our city.
