Broome 2008 Ioana, 26 May 202626 May 2026 These are old photos from our very first trip to Broome back in 2008. The turquoise waters looked incredible, whether viewed from the air or out on a boat. There’s always something happening on Cable Beach. We took a sunset camel ride tour, and it was fun seeing the crowds gathered to watch the day end from a different perspective. We also visited Malcolm Douglas’ crocodile park, back when Malcolm himself was still alive. Another highlight was a hovercraft tour around Roebuck Bay, followed by a trip to see the famous dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point. Broome was multicultural long before the term became fashionable. A visit to the Japanese museum gave us a fascinating glimpse into the town’s early pearling history. It’s amazing looking back at these memories from our first Broome adventure. 2008 Australia Broome Travel Western Australia
