Airport sights

As part of our many travels, we often see interesting things happening or adorning airports.

In 2024 we saw The Giant Head at Sydney airport in the Gentle Monster store – a 2m robot that is “a large kinetic installation that allows viewers to experience mysterious emotions through its indecipherable facial expressions which seem to penetrate the essence of the viewer”.

Larnaca Airport in Cyprus, 2001. The airport is surrounded by four salt lakes that becomes the home of pink flamingoes during the northern hemisphere winter.
