A brief visit to fill in 8 bours between two flights on the way back from Uluru. The Uber driver was was quite happy to drive us around the town and show us some pretty places / suburbs.

We spent a few hours at the Museum of NT, learning a few things about local fauna, including crocodile Sweetheart who drowned when they tried to catch him (likely because he was sedated). They also had quite a large and interesting display about cyclone Tracey – that was indeed a devastating cyclone with a very small eye causing horrendously destructive winds, but Darwin also had really dodgy houses and people were not prepared to deal with a cyclone (at least not of those proportions).
