We then went on a boat tour before having some morning tea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\">ngg_shortcode_1_placeholder<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">On the way back we went to the Bird Observatory which was a bit far but worth it as there were lots of different birds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\">ngg_shortcode_2_placeholder<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Our third day in Broome was quite busy. We visited the Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park to see the crocodile feeding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\">ngg_shortcode_3_placeholder<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">And in the evening we went for an Astrotour with Greg Quicke, which was extremely informative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We did the obligatory boat tour to see the dinosaur footprints (and more birds). Last time we went to see the dinosaur footprints it was in a hovercraft, but that&#8217;s not available any more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\">ngg_shortcode_4_placeholder<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We watched a movie at the Sun Pictures as well, but the sand flies made the experience somewhat less enjoyable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\">ngg_shortcode_5_placeholder<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Broome is one of the few places in Australia that was attacked by the Japanese during WW II. One of these attacks was on the 3rd of March 1942, when the Japanese Mitsubishi fighters<a href=\"https:\/\/broomemuseum.org.au\/broome-during-world-war-ii\/broome-attacked\/\"> destroyed all the Catalina flying boats<\/a> that were in the bay for a refuelling stop. The wrecks can be seen a few times every year at very low tide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We were lucky to be there during one of these very low spring tides so we walked to the Catalina wrecks to see them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\">ngg_shortcode_6_placeholder<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We spent our last afternoon \/ evening in Broome by the beach again, enjoying another beautiful sunset on Cable Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\">ngg_shortcode_7_placeholder<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">First stop after we started driving back to Perth was Karratha. There had been a bushfire at Lagrange but it was all gone by the time we got there. We stayed at Latitude 20 Catarall park in Karratha, just behind the pub where we had the most expensive chicken parma ever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\">ngg_shortcode_8_placeholder<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We left Karratha early and drove to Denham, stopping on the way in Carnarvon to eat some delicious frozen fruit from Morel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We stayed two nights in Denham and both evenings and sunsets were divine.
