We started with a very American (in size and taste) breakfast at Peppermill diner where we \u201cadmired\u201d their red neon-lit gas-fire cocktail lounge.<\/p>\n\n\n\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Next we went to Shelby&#8217;s where an old guide called Austin, a huge admirer of Shelby, showed us around their small museum and workshop. <\/p>\n\n\n\nngg_shortcode_1_placeholder\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">There are lots of billboards advertising lawyers for injury claims around Las Vegas &#8211; significantly more than we saw in Chicago or on country roads up to this point.<\/p>\n\n\n\nngg_shortcode_2_placeholder\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We went to Bellagio to see it inside &#8211; quite impressive, expensive shops and kitschy decorations but also a very nice flower setup in one of the rooms. In another room they had sculptures by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Richard_MacDonald\">Richard MacDonald<\/a>, a British sculptor now living in US, using bronze to make some very interesting pieces mainly of ballet dancers. And we got to meet him personally!<\/p>\n\n\n\nngg_shortcode_3_placeholder\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Mirage turned out to be our evening entertainment \u2013 we had dinner at Costa then went to see a Cirque du Soleil show based on the songs of The Beatles which was amazing, the best of their shows we&#8217;ve ever seen (maybe because this is their home and shows are coreographed with this stage in mind?).
